Newsflash
WordWise Inc., a developer of educational publishing materials, has instituted a corporate giving program this year. For each project WordWise completes for one of its educational publishing clients during the year, WordWise will make a contribution to either Project HOTSHOTS or the 4K for Cancer. Each client decides to which of these charities the donation corresponding to their project will be made; or they can decide to split the donation between the two charities. WordWise will make these contributions twice yearly. As a result of this corporate giving program WordWise is donating $1,050 to project HOTSHOTS for the first half of 2010.

Thank You from Gary Carter

Gary Carter thank you
Dear Project HOTSHOTS,

I wanted to write you all personally to thank you for the generous donation of backpacks and school supplies. When the kids got them they were absolutely flabbergasted and beyond excited. It is always great to see how many people truly care about making a real difference, and I want to tell you that your organization's efforts a making a difference.

My foundation is in its eighth year of supporting elementary schools. And I have seen many generous and kind gestures. But the 200 backpacks with all the supplies are among the highlights of our short history. The schools we work with are all Title 1, and the kids who got the backpacks are among the neediest. They will be put to good use, I can assure you of that.

On behalf of everyone at my foundation, and especially the teachers and students, I cannot thank you, your project volunteers, and all of your donors enough for their caring, generous nature. Please keep up the good work.

Sincerely,

Gary Carter

The Son Shines Brightly

Frankie G.
What a fantastic kid.  This young HOTSHOT is absolutely incredible.

Frankie Gaetani (Lynbrook, NY) age 11, has raised $5,000 for the National Kidney Foundation as his dad (and best friend) Joseph endures hours and hours of dialysis. Joe suffers from diabetes and chronic renal failure.

We are proud of Frankie Gaetani and all of our young HOTSHOTS. Please read more Here.

Of course, prayers and happy thoughts to Joe, wife Nancy and family.
